BUCKS COUNTY, Pa. (KYW Newsradio) — A man has been arrested and charged in connection with a targeted shooting at Oxford Valley Mall earlier this summer.

Middletown Township police say a man was waiting for a SEPTA bus outside the JCPenney around 5 p.m. on June 19 when he was approached by 33-year-old Shannon James Lewis. After a quick conversation, police say Lewis pulled out a handgun and shot the man.

The victim was later found inside the mall suffering from a gunshot wound to his arm. Police said at the time of the shooting, they believed the suspect and victim knew each other.

Police say they identified Lewis through his SEPTA card, which was registered in his name.

On Friday, police executed arrest and search warrants at his residence. During the search, they found a revolver believed to be used in the shooting, as well as clothing that matched what Lewis was seen wearing that day.

Surveillance video captured Lewis talking on his phone by a water fountain between the JCPenney and One Oxford Valley building before the shooting.

Lewis is charged with aggravated assault, simple assault,  recklessly endangering another person and possessing an instrument of crime.
