WATCH: Suspected carjacker crashes 2 vehicles before Philadelphia police catch him

Video shows the apparent carjacking and both crashes before police arrest the suspect

PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — A report said that a man already fleeing police crashed his vehicle into an SUV, pulled the driver out and stole it, then crashed that vehicle into a car and sprinted on foot before Philadelphia police captured him.

NBC10, which had SkyForce10 capturing video of the crashes, said the series of events began just after 8 p.m. Monday. They report that the suspect was connected to an incident near the corner of 5th and Master streets in North Philadelphia.

SkyForce10 video above showed the man striking the back of a woman's SUV, going to the front door, grabbing the woman, pulling her out, and driving away with the vehicle.

Minutes later, that SUV hit a car near the corner of Brill Street and Tabor Avenue in Lawncrest before the suspect ran away from police, who eventually caught him.

There was no initial word on any injuries or the identity of the suspect.
