PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — It’s been over a week since Russia first invaded Ukraine. More than 2,000 Ukrainian civilians have died, but the country is standing strong and defending the nation with force. Many around the world are standing in solidarity too, including here in Philadelphia.

To honor them, this episode of What’s Cooking is all about Ukrainian food.

KYW Newsradio’s Hadas Kuznits visited Bell’s Market in Northeast Philadelphia, one of the largest European supermarkets in the area, to learn about some of the country’s cultural dishes.

Ever wonder what the difference is between Russian and Ukrainian borscht? What even is borscht?
