PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Police are looking for thieves who stole an estimated $150,000 worth of beef from a tractor-trailer in South Philadelphia.

The driver told police he parked his tractor-trailer overnight on Memorial Day near 34th and Wharton streets.

When he and his co-driver woke up early Tuesday morning, they said about 10 full pallets and another half-pallet of beef had been stolen.

He said the trailer’s engine and freezer were running throughout the night, so the driver did not hear anyone go inside.
