PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — After he leaves his post as School District of Philadelphia superintendent this summer, Dr. William Hite will move on to an educational nonprofit based in Cincinnati.
The school board has announced that, on July 1, Hite will be the new president and CEO of KnowledgeWorks, an organization that partners with K-12 educators.
Hite is stepping down as superintendent at the end of this school year. The school board has been interviewing applicants and hopes to narrow its list to five names in the coming weeks.
