PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Police in Lower Merion Township are asking for the public's help in finding a woman suspected of murdering her mother's fiance on New Year's Eve.

Law enforcement in Montgomery County issued an arrest warrant for Samiyah Williams, 24, of Locust Street in Philadelphia.

Authorities allege Williams shot and killed Adrionne Reaves, 49, on Dec. 31, inside the lobby of the Delwyn Apartments along Saint Asaphs Road near Belmont Avenue in Bala Cynwyd.

Williams is suspected of shooting Reaves in the head. Reaves was found unresponsive in the lobby.

Investigators said police were called to the complex at about 8:30 p.m. that night for a domestic dispute between Reaves and his fiancee. The couple told police the dispute was verbal, and they would separate for the night.

According to authorities, Reaves called his daughter to pick her up, but later went back to the apartment complex to pick up his misplaced keys.

However, officials said when Reaves and his daughter went back, they encounter his fiancee and her mother.

Officials said that Williams, dressed in black with a dark hood pulled up, then allegedly shot Reaves in front of the other three women.

According to investigators, Reaves' fiancee called her mother and Williams, her daughter, and told them Reaves “laid hands on her.”

Police describe Williams as 5 feet tall and about 127 pounds. The warrant includes charges of first-degree murder, third-degree murder, and possessing an instrument of crime.

If you know where Williams is, police say not to approach her, as she is considered armed and dangerous. Instead, authorities say to immediately call 911, Lower Merion Police at 610-649-1000 or Montgomery County Detectives at 610-278-3386.
