Southwestern College is hosting graduations for all Sweetwater District high schools. Thursday, June 4. There will be car parades, and here's some info: * Two parade times: 10 am - 12:30 pm and 2 pm - 4:30 pm (expect cars to be queuing up about an hour before each parade group) * Cars will be coming up H Street and queuing up on Otay Lakes Road to enter on Elmhurst. * They will come up Elmhurst to enter the college and make a right to ride around the entire perimeter road back to the front of campus to exit from Gotham. * Expected: a total of approximately 5,000 cars to be coming onto campus throughout the day. There will also be staff from each of the high schools standing along the perimeter road to cheer on the graduates. * The high school staff members are being asked to arrive on campus at 8:30 am.
Bottom line - if you're not part of these graduation parades, avoid Otay Lakes Road between East H and Telegraph Canyon. There will be a ton of traffic, and undoubtedly, big daytime delays!
