Taylor Swift songs have gotten many through a lot, that's just facts — and Stevie Nicks is no different in that regard.

During her recent show in Atlanta, Stevie took a moment to thank Taylor for writing the Midnights track “You’re On Your Own, Kid.” Telling the audience that the song has helped her grieve her friend and Fleetwood Mac bandmate Christine McVie over the last several months.
Currently on her co-headlining tour with Billy Joel, Nicks has been paying tribute to her friend, who died last November from a stroke and metastasized cancer. This latest time she did so by pointing out how Swift’s poignant track perfectly encapsulates "the sadness of how I feel,” following her friends death.
“Thank you to Taylor Swift for doing this thing for me, and that is writing a song called ‘You’re On Your Own, Kid,’” Nicks said. “That is the sadness of how I feel. As long as Chris was, even on the other side of the world, we didn’t have to talk on the phone. We really weren’t phone buddies. Then we would go back to Fleetwood Mac, and we would walk in and it would be like ‘little sister, how are you?’ It was like never a minute had passed, never an argument in our entire 47 years. Never.”
"When it was the two of us, the two of us were on our own, kids. We always were.” Nicks expressed, "And now, I'm having to learn to be on my own, kid, by myself."
Then graciously addressing the audience directly, she concluded, "you help me to do that. Thank you. I love you and you've been awesome. I'll never forget you. Take care of yourselves, be well, just be who you are… Thank you."
