San Diego Padres prospects are making serious noise in the Arizona Fall League, headlined by slugger Alex McCoy, who earned a Fall Stars Game selection after crushing exit velocities up to 118.2 mph. Alongside McCoy, hard-throwing right-hander Cannon Kemp is showcasing electric velocity that can touch 100 mph, while recent high-upside draft picks like Coleman Borthwick, Schoolcraft, and Canadian hitting standout Elliot Léchelles underscore the organization's focus on elite physical tools and mature swing decisions. As these young players gain valuable reps against top-tier competition in the desert, San Diego's minor league system is proving that its next wave of impact talent is already on the rise.
