Shoppers are currently waiting for final details around this year’s Amazon Prime Day including the dates of the event and what deals and sales they'll be offering.
Prime Day 2020 saw the annual event expanded to two full days, and many are expecting a similar format this year.
The New York Post reported that Amazon confirmed the official dates.
When is Prime Day?
Amazon officially confirmed that this year’s huge shopping day will be on Monday and Tuesday, June 21 and 22, 2021.
According to the description on Amazon’s Prime Day landing page, the day is “an annual deal event exclusively for Prime members, delivering two days of special savings on products from small businesses and top brands.”
What is Prime Day?
The company launched Prime Day in 2015 as a way for shoppers to score huge deals. The day was originally a July event.
In 2020, the company delayed it until October amid the pandemic. However, they also made it a two-day event, and reported a 60% increase in sales over 2019.
