"Mighty Quinn" finishes cancer treatment!

5-year-old celebrated with a Bruins game.

He's been through the wringer more than most men 10x his age. And he's got reason to celebrate.

Quinn Waters got the title of "Mighty" after he was diagnosed with a brain tumor in February of 2019. Only 3-years-old at the time, he went through a long, arduous surgery, followed by chemo treatments after that. He was stuck in his house for months to keep him safe.

The community heard his story and rallied for Quinn, coming by to dance, sing, and cheer him up beyond the pane of glass. Even the Dropkick Murphy's and New England Patriots cheerleaders paid a visit!

Soon enough, he was disease free! For six months, he had his freedom back. Then the pandemic, quarantines, and home-schooling. A year stolen. The new year was destined to be his. Finally, getting to be a little kid again.

Then, in February, devastating news. The cancer had returned.

A mere mortal might have thrown in the towel. Nearly two years of lockdown, surgery, chemo-therapy. How much can a little boy take?

Well. You've obviously never met "The Mighty Quinn".

The now 5-year-old who has the toughness of a dozen oxen just finished his 30th and final radiation treatment... again... and celebrated like any amazing kid from Boston would want to - he went to a Bruins game!

The team flipped pucks to him, honored him on the screen (and with a win), and he got to do all he ever wanted to do - be a kid.

Quinn, all of us at MAGIC 106.7 want to give you an incredibly big congratulations on once again showing cancer who's boss! You make your parents (and your community) beyond proud, and amaze us every day. Keep. It. Up!
