'I do': Celebrity couples who got married in 2020
2020 was a challenging year for those looking forward to their “big day.”
Quarantine and social distancing measures put many nuptials on hold indefinitely.
But not everyone let the coronavirus pandemic stop them from tying the knot.
A handful of celebrities managed to walk down the aisle and celebrate their love in small, intimate ceremonies.
Check out the list of 2020’s A-list newlyweds below:
Scarlett Johansson and Colin Jost
The “Avengers: Endgame” star and the “Saturday Night Live” comedian wed in late October in a very private ceremony that was later announced by Meals on Wheels.
"We're thrilled to break the news that Scarlett Johansson and Colin Jost were married over the weekend in an intimate ceremony with their immediate family and loved ones, following COVID-19 safety precautions as directed by the CDC," the organization wrote on Instagram alongside a photo of the Staten Island Ferry with tin cans tied to the back and the words “Jost Married.”
The duo got engaged in March after two years of dating.

The “Strangers Things” actor and the musician tied the knot at Graceland Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas on September 7. They confirmed the event by sharing photos with Elvis and then showing off their wedding meal: In-N-Out burgers and fries.

In August, the couple announced that they are expecting their first child together.
Sean Penn and Leila George
The 60-year-old actor married 28-year-old girlfriend, Leila George, in a private ceremony on July 30, according to Page Six. He confirmed the news by showing off his gold wedding band on “Late Night with Seth Meyers,” stating, "We did a COVID wedding.”
He elaborated: “By that, I mean it was a county commissioner on Zoom and we were at the house with my two children and her brother, and we did it that way.”
Tim Tebow and Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters
The Former NFL quarterback wed the 2017 Miss Universe in a sunset ceremony in Cape Town, South Africa on January 18.
Since the event was pre-pandemic, it was a lavish affair with 260 guests.

The Disney Channel actress announced her surprise wedding to the social media manager on Instagram.
“I got married to a woman who understands me from trigger to joy, from breakfast to midnight snack, from stage to home. I love you Mrs. Pearman-Maday!" she wrote. "I’s married NOW."
The backyard ceremony took place on June 16.
Frankie Muniz and Paige Price
The “Malcolm in the Middle” star and Price originally eloped in October of 2019, but they formally tied the knot on February 21, which was also the couple’s four year dating anniversary.
“Every single moment of Feb. 21 was perfect. From the moment of waking up together and jumping on the bed hyping each other up, to helping our wedding planner with setting things up at the venue, all the way to walking down the aisle with my best friend hand in hand with our closest friends and family in attendance. Everything was just so us,” Muniz told PEOPLE.
Jon Pardi and Summer Duncan
After being forced to postpone and pare down the guest list for their planned Memorial Day weekend ceremony, the Country singer and stylist are now Mr. and Mrs. following their nuptials on November 21 at Saddle Woods Farm in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.
"With so much of our families being in California we had to make the tough decision to downsize (drastically) twice, and we ended up with a small group of just our immediate family and closest friends in town," Duncan shared.
Tove Lo and Charlie Twaddle
The singer married Twaddle on July 25. She shared the news on social media posting a photo of herself and her new husband wearing wedding rings. She captioned the selfie “Oops.”
