An update is in order following this week's news that former Coal Chamber bassist Rayna Foss had been missing since early September. With the ease of an Instagram post provided by Foss’ daughter, it seems Rayna is in fact safe and sound.

According to New Orleans police, the original bassist for the now-defunct California band had been missing since September of 2021, with reports stating, it was Foss’ group home manager who had communicated her disappearance. But according to her daughter, Kayla Moray Rose, whom she shares with ex-husband Morgan Rose of Sevendust, that was simply not the case at all.
"Let me set the record straight," Rose begins. "I've seen all of the posts regarding that my mother Rayna has been missing since September. I have no idea where these stories are coming from. I spoke to my mother as recently as yesterday, and we have never lost contact."
Multiple media outlets inaccurately reported that 51-year-old Foss had been missing based on a post shared on Facebook by Fox affiliate WVUE on September 13 asking followers to contact detectives.
"My grandparents have also been in contact with my mother," Kayla continues. "And we all know exactly where she is. I have a message in to the New Orleans Police Department advising them of this and am waiting for them to respond."
Rose also revealed that she has also seen stories about Coal Chamber frontman Dez Fafara, "and a feud with my father Morgan. These are also false," she says. "My dad and Dez are friends and have been for a long time. I'm confused where all of this started from, but it can stop now. Hopefully there won't be a next time, but maybe someone can check before running these stories that end up disrupting my entire family in the future."
