Cardi B ended up victorious, which makes total sense after she completely dominated the second half of 2020 with “WAP”! 2020 was looking a little hopeless up until that point, but we think it is safe to say that Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion really saved us there.
With her win for “WAP” at the American Music Awards, Cardi B made history by becoming the first artist to win the AMA for Favorite Rap/Hip-Hop Song more than once! She also made history by being the first female rapper to be named Woman of the Year at the Billboard Women in Music Awards.
