During a recent appearance on The Kelly Clarkson Show, Timberlake teased he and his former *NSYNC bandmates thave been working on “a little something,” following their “Better Place” single for the Trolls movie, which marked their first project together in more than 20 years.

“We’ve been in the studio, so there may be a little something in the future, too,” he shared with Kelly Clarkson.

While Timberlake kept details to a minimum, he shared that getting back together with JC Chasez, Lance Bass, Chris Kirkpatrick and Joey Fatone was very natural and a whole lot of fun. “It’s kind of crazy, like, there’s so much that just picks up right where it left off as far as the chemistry.”

Naturally, *NSYNC fans are working overtime to find out what JT’s  hinting at  — could it be a second song? Tour announcement? Full album?

According to TMZ, fans should keep their expectations low as it’s been rumored Timberlake was referring to having the guys in studio to sing background vocals on a track for his new album, Everything I Thought I Was.

“We're told when Justin, Lance Bass, Joey Fatone, JC Chasez and Chris Kirkpatrick got together last year to record ‘Better Place’ for 'Trolls Band Together,' they also used their time together in the studio to lay down vocals for JT's new offering,” the outlet reports.

Technically still a reunion, right? Guess we’ll have to wait and see for the final verdict. Timberlake’s new album, Everything I Thought I Was, is scheduled to release March 15. The lead single, “Selfish,” is available now.
