Chesterfield, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - Chesterfield County has announced it is giving a grace period for personal property taxes. The tax payments now can be delayed until July 29th without penalty.
The grace period only covers personal property and not real estate taxes. The county chose the grace period because of inflation bumping up costs, and an unusual economic situation where the value of used cars has actually risen.
Henrico also recently allowed a grace period on its personal property taxes as well.
