Richmond, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - The City of Richmond is set to host another gun buyback event on Saturday, Dec. 14 from 8 a.m. to noon.
The City is partnering with New Life Deliverance Tabernacle on Decatur Street for the event, which aims to curb gun violence by getting unwanted firearms off the streets. The first gun buyback event was in 2022, and 474 guns were handed over.
City residents can drop off any firearm, no questions asked. Depending on the type of gun turned in, you could get a $250 gift card.
Police ask that you bring the firearm unloaded in the trunk of your car for drop-off.
