Taipei, Taiwan (Newsradiowrva.com) -Governor Glenn Youngkin (R) met with Taiwanese President Tsai Ing-wen Monday morning Taiwanese time, announcing an executive order to set up a trade office in the country. The stop is the first of three on an Asian trade mission.
Youngkin's visit to the country comes after a session where he made several moves against mainland China. Youngkin convinced the General Assembly to ban purchase of Virginia farmland. He also banned Tik Tok on state devices, and stopped pursuit of a Chinese-tied battery plant for Pittsylvania County.
The Governor is also visiting South Korea and Japan on the trip.
