HOUSTON (SportsRadio 610) -- Deshaun Watson returned to Texans training camp Monday morning after missing five practices last week.
Watson had been absent for unexplained reasons, though he was seen with trainers last week.
But on Monday, he was seen walking on the practice field and speaking briefly with first-year general manager Nick Caserio.
Watson participated in individual drills, then went inside of the training center at the start of team activities. Watson eventually returned to the field, without pads, and watched the remainder of practice from the sideline.
Unlike the previous 10 practices, head coach David Culley spoke to reporters before instead of after practice, leaving no one in authority to answer questions about Watson's status with the team.
Culley has said since the start of camp that "nothing has changed" and they are "day-to-day" with Watson.
Caserio is scheduled to speak with Payne and Pendergast on Tuesday morning at 7:40 a.m. Culley meets with the media again Tuesday ahead of practice at 9:15 a.m.
Even with Watson at practice Monday, nothing is believed to have changed about his status and standing with the team.
Watson still wants to be traded, and the Texans are still open to moving him for the right price.
What's holding them back remains his ongoing legal situation. Watson is facing 22 civil lawsuits alleging sexual assault and harassment, mostly during massage therapy sessions.
The Houston Police Department is also investigating 10 complaints against Watson, though no charges have been filed.
In addition, the NFL is investigating Watson, but indicated last month it would not interfere with the legal process and that the quarterback is still allowed the play -- at least for now.
This is Day 11 of practice at Texans training camp. They are scheduled to face the Green Bay Packers on Saturday in their first preseason game.
