A registered dietitian shared these tips to help you survive the holidays in a healthy way.
1. Think In Color
When putting together your holiday plate, make it look festive with fruits and vegetable.

2. Contribute A Healthy Dish
When you go to a holiday party or family gathering, bring something healthy. This will ensure that there is at least one healthy dish to eat.
3. Choose Your Drinks Wisely
Stick to calorie free drinks like water, tea or seltzer to eliminate the amount of calories consumed during the holidays.
4. The Water Ratio
For every sugary drink you consume drink one water to match that number. for example if you drink one eggnog then you will drink one water, therefore the ratio always stays 1:1.
