Zoo Atlanta’s longtime signature Memorial Day Weekend festival tradition returns on Saturday, May 27, and the 2023 event will feature the debut of a very special highlight. Willie B. Legacy Lager, an exclusive limited-time brew developed by SweetWater Brewery in partnership with Zoo Atlanta, will be available during Brew at the Zoo.
A tribute to the lasting legacy of the legendary late Willie B., the brew is a tropical pilsner featuring hints of orange and banana. Its debut is timely with the recent birth of Willie B.’s newest grandson, Willie B., III, born to Shalia and Willie B., Jr., on April 24.
Willie B. Legacy Lager will be available for sampling and purchase during Brew at the Zoo; for purchase through the season at Zoo Atlanta’s SweetWater Beer Garden; and for a limited time at the SweetWater Atlanta Taproom.
Brew at the Zoo has a history of selling out in the days before the event, and advance tickets are strongly encouraged. The 21-and-up festival will feature samplings of a wide variety of unique craft brews from more than 30 breweries and cideries; live music throughout the Zoo; wildlife viewing until dusk; special Keeper Talks; classic yard games; and more.
