Help Colony Square make art

Join artist Hyland Mather on a unique recycling journey in Atlanta!

Reaching out to share an exciting opportunity for you to join artist Hyland Mather on a unique journey around Atlanta as he collects recyclable plastics for a large-scale art installation at Colony Square. He'll be working on the piece from June 1-7.

During the first few days, Hyland will drive around gathering recyclable plastics from various locations and visiting ALPLA's facility, where employees are contributing to the collection. This behind-the-scenes look will provide a fascinating perspective on the creative process and the community's role in sustainability.

ALPLA, headquartered in McDonough, is a global leader in innovative packaging solutions and recycling, dedicated to promoting the circular economy through sustainable practices. This art installation is a key part of their Plastic Reimagined initiative, which aims to educate and inspire communities about the importance of recycling and the full value of recyclable plastics.

We invite you to tag along with Hyland, witness the collection process, and see the installation in progress. Even if you can't participate, the project will culminate in a final celebration on June 7th at 12:00 p.m., and the art piece will remain on display throughout the summer, so you are free to visit and view the mural at any time after its completion!
