The Cincinnati Bengals are going to the Super Bowl for the 1st time since 1988. Cincy knocked defending conference champs Kansas City 27-24 in overtime in Sunday's AFC Title game. The Bengals have won their last two playoff games on the road and will take on the L.A. Rams in another road game in the Super Bowl.

The Bengals have had the fastest turnaround in NFL History. In 2019, they had the league's worst record, they then drafted QB Joe Burrow #1 overall in 2020. In just two seasons, Burrow has led them to the "Big Game" for the 1st time in over 3 decades and just the 3rd time in franchise history.
The late great Sam Wyche was Cincinnati's Head Coach the last time they made the Super Bowl. Wyche would make to the Upstate after his head coaching days in the NFL were through. Wyche then made his home in Pickens and was a volunteer assistant coach at Pickens High School. The Bengals have another tie to the Upstate with former Clemson standout Tee Higgins. He is their 2nd leading receiver on the season racking up over 1,000 yards on 74 catches. Higgins had a game high 103 receiving yards in the AFC Title Game.
The Bengals will take on the L.A. Rams who edged the 49ers 20-17 in Sunday's NFC Title game. It'll be the fifth Super Bowl appearance for the Rams franchise, the 3rd while being in L.A. They made two appearances while based in St Louis, which included their win over the Tennessee Titans in Super Bowl 34. The Super Bowl is set for Sunday February 13th and will air on ESPN UPSTATE, 97.7 FM Greenville, 97.1 FM Spartanburg.
