A Clemson Basketball standout has announced he's leaving the school. Junior Point Guard Al-Amir Dawes is leaving the Tiger Men's Basketball program. The Newark, New Jersey native has entered the transfer portal. That news was confirmed by a team spokesman on Tuesday.
Dawes has started 66 games in his three years in Tigertown, including 25 this past season. He was the team's 2nd leading scorer this season averaging 11 points per game.
He also led the team with 84 made three's on the season. Dawes hot nearly 40% of his 3 point attempts and 90% from the foul line. He's the second Tiger to enter the transfer portal this offseason, joining teammate Nick Honor. "
