Clemson Basketball bounced back from a tough loss last week with a win over a Top 5 Duke team, Saturday night. The Tigers shot nearly 60% from the floor on their way to a 77-71 win over Blue Devils.

The game was tied at 59 with 5 minutes left in the game. The game was back and forth in the closing minutes. Clemson Guard Dillon Harper hit a huge three with 1:46 left to put the Tigers up 70-67.


Clemson led 70-68 until Duke Freshman phenom Cooper Flagg made a three with 58 seconds that put them ahead 71-70. Chase Hunter then gave the Tigers a 72-70 lead with 38 seconds left. He then hit four straight free throws in the last 15 seconds to seal the 6 point win.

Duke was led by a Tyrese Proctor who had a game high 23 in the losing effort. Flagg had 18 and Kon Knueppel added 14. Clemson had four players in double figures including a team high 22 from Viktor Lakhin.

Chase Hunter had 14 with 6 coming in the final 40 seconds. Ian Schieffelin who's been playing through episodes of back spasms had a double-double of 12 points and 10 boards. Jaeden Zackery added a dozen,

The Tigers have now won 5 straight against top-5 ranked opponents, which is the longest active streak of its kind in the nation.

The loss marks 1st defeat in ACC games this season. Clemson is now 11-2 in league play. They host North Carolina, Monday night for a 7PM tipoff.
