Furman Basketball is hitting their late season stride, the Paladins have now won 9 of their last 10 games. They got a hard fought 83-79 win, Sunday night to earn a season sweep of East Tennessee State.
Furman held the Buccaneers to just 7 points in the final 5 and half minutes of the game, they would get 4 straight defensive stops in the final minute of play.
Furman had just 5 turnovers on the night and had 5 players score in double figures. Marcus Foster had a team high 15, Jalen Slawson had a double-double of 11 points and 11 boards.
Furman is now 22-7 on the season and 13-3 in the SoCon. That puts then one game back of league leading Samford, with two left to play. The Paladins hosts Mercer Wednesday night at 7 PM. You can hear every Furman game on The Fan Upstate
