A strong defensive performance propelled South Carolina to a convincing win at Vanderbilt. The Gamecocks held Vandy to less than 275 total yards in their 28-7 road win in Nashville.

After a scoreless 1st quarter, South Carolina took a 7-0 lead after an 81 yard scoring drive. The Gamecocks led 7-0 at the halftime break. In the 3rd quarter, the Gamecocks scored on a Raheim Sanders TD run to go up, 14-0.


Vanderbilt scored to make to make it 14-7, SC scored on another Raheim Sanders TD run. The Gamecocks took a 21-7 lead into the 4th. They would add one more TD to make it 28-7.

Sanders finished with 126 yards and 2 TD's on 15 carries. He also had a TD catch of more than 40 yards. South Carolina is now 6-3 on the season and 4-3 in the SEC. They'll host #24 Missouri this Saturday.
