College Basketball teams will break out their dancing shoes this week, as local programs travel out of state and Greenville hosts some high level hoops as well.
Action in the Upstate will tip off Thursday at Bon Secours Wellness Arena in Greenville. Duke is the #1 overall seed they'll be in action in Greenville taking on 16 seed Sienna as part of the East Region. Also in the afternoon session in Greenville Thursday, 8 seed Ohio State takes on 9 seed TCU. The winners will meet at "The Well" Saturday.
Another area fan favorite North Carolina will be in action in Greenville, Thursday. UNC is a 6 seed in the South Region and will meet 11 seed VCU. In the nightcap, 3 seed Illinois will take on 14 seed Penn from the Ivy League. The winner of those two games will clash in Greenville, Saturday.
Local teams will be in action on Friday and will travel out of state. Clemson is an 8 seed and will travel to Tampa to tangle with 9 seed Iowa as part of the South Region. That game is set to tip off at 6:50 Friday night.
Furman punched their ticket to the "Dance" by winning the SoCon Tournament. The Paladins are a 15 seed They'll look to play David and knockoff the Goliath that is 2 seed Uconn. That game is set to tip off at 10PM, Friday night in Philadelphia. You can hear all the action on The Fan Upstate.
