The “Playmaker” Michael Irvin joined Dukes & Bell and talked about why the Falcons should not get rid of Julio Jones and why he thinks Julio is still one of the top receivers in the NFL.
Irvin told the guys that Jones is still one of the top receivers in the National Football League.
“I am amazed. You guys do not understand this thing with Julio; this is Julio. I’ll just repeat this from Thursday Night Football,” Irvin said. “They were asking, you know, should you move Julio? It's actually what sticks my mouth to say that with all the conversations and all the arguing I have done with God, about why does Julio have so much and you didn't give me any of that. There's no way that I'm sitting here, say, Hey, get rid of Julio Jones.
“But the question is: Is Julio Jones still one of the top receivers in the National Football League? Absolutely, man. Absolutely. If given all health right now, right now everybody's healthy, and you say to me pick out what receiver you will take when everybody's healthy and ready to go. I still believe I will be looking real hard at Julio Jones. So you know, I understand how to think is when we get in these kinds of seasons things have to be answered. And decisions have to be made. But make some decisions. I'm just telling you, I wouldn't make it on one.”
