Talk about "right to a speedy judicial process", a Clemson Football Player who was arrested last weekend, has already been sentenced. Defensive Lineman Vic Burley was arrested for disorderly conduct last weekend in Clemson and was indefinitely suspended by Head Coach Dabo Swinney.
Burley pleaded guilty was given a conditional discharge by the judge. Burley will avoid jail time and is set to serve just 24 hours of community service. He will also be required to complete online behavior modification classes. If the conditions are met the charge will be dismissed and expunged from Burley's record.
Burley was reportedly sleeping in the driver's seat of a truck when police approached him. The police report says a THC vape and a pistol were found inside the vehicle. However, no charges were filed in connection to those findings.
Burley did post an apology on social media Wednesday to his coaches, teammates, fans and the school. Clemson opens their season September 5th in Baton Rouge taking on 11th ranked LSU.
The football program says Burley's indefinite suspension is remains in place, at this time.
