Michigan to face Iowa on Saturday night in B1G Champions Week game

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The Big Ten Conference announced Sunday (Dec. 13) that the University of Michigan football team will face No. 17-ranked Iowa in a cross-division matchup during the conference's Champions Week slate (Dec. 18-19). This will be the first time the Big Ten has played a series of cross-divisional during the week slated for the Big Ten Championship game.

Michigan (2-4) and Iowa (6-2) will square off at 7 p.m. on Saturday (Dec. 19) at Kinnick Stadium in Iowa City, Iowa. The game will be broadcast on ESPN.


This will be the 62nd meeting between Michigan and Iowa. The Wolverines hold a 42-15-4 lead in the all-time series and have won 13 of the last 21 games, including last season's closely contested 10-3 U-M victory at Michigan Stadium.
