Sunday morning ESPN's Adam Schefter revealed that according to those inside the Tampa Bay Buccaneers organization the relationship between Tom Brady and head coach Bruce Arians is good.
"They really get along great," Buccaneers general manager Jason Licht told ESPN. "There's a deep respect there for each other."
Another source spoke to Schefter on the idea of a rift between Brady and Arians "That is just way overdone ... way overdone," the source said.
That, however, doesn't mean there wasn't another day where the dynamic between the two raised eyebrows. This time, the curiosity is directed at the NFL.
In the report, Schefter states that Brady and Arians planned to play golf perhaps multiple times over the Buccaneers bye week. Yet, the outings were nixed by the league, which said that such an endeavor would be in violation of COVID-19 protocols.
As it is pointed out in the piece, the ruling is somewhat curious considering how much time Brady and Arians spend around each other in close proximity during practices and in games. Golfing would presumably entail riding in separate golf carts while realistically not coming in close contact with one another.
The 7-5 Buccaneers take on the Vikings Sunday before finishing their regular season schedule with games at Atlanta and Detroit before returning home for a rematch with the Falcons.
