Payton Pritchard's impressive rookie season has hit a speed bump.

The point guard was knocked out of Friday night's game against the Sixers during the first quarter when teammate Jaylen Brown collided with his right knee while falling to the floor.

The Celtics quickly ruled Pritchard out for the remainder of the game with what they termed a right knee sprain.

Pritchard, the 26th overall pick in this year's draft, has averaged 8.3 points, 2.5 rebounds and 2.8 assists in 22 minutes per game this season, establishing himself as a key part of the Celtics' rotation and one of the top rookies in the league.

A knee sprain would at least not be the worst-case scenario if that's "all" it ends up being, insofar as ligament damage would make things worse if any were found. There will likely be further updates on Pritchard once more testing is done.
