Shane Beamer on the run game: “It’s not good enough.”
Shane Beamer on the defensive effort: “I think that’s our DNA & how we play. We want to play with great effort. You may make mistakes but you can overcome them with great effort. We have a lot of really good players and there is a standard that we play to. We have a lot of good players and we are playing a lot of guys.”
Shane Beamer on the weather delay: “It was a challenge. Thankfully we had the same scenario in the preseason. I thought the players did a good job of staying engaged and staying excited, just wish we would have started a little better.”
Shane Beamer: “Good to get Shed in there tonight. Hard to say, there were some runs where we missed some reads and there were some where we didn’t block well either. We have to look at that and be better.”
Shane Beamer says the injury update will be too long to name and it’s not good. Says he will update the media tomorrow.
Shane Beamer: “We can’t rely on our defense and special teams to score three touchdowns every week like they did tonight.”
Shane Beamer: “A lot that we have to get better at. A sloppy first half from an offensive standpoint. We’ve got to be better when we’re backed up and field position was a struggle early on. There’s a lot to clean up.”
Shane Beamer: “Really appreciate our fans. What an amazing feeling for our players to come out and that place still be packed 2.5 hours after we were supposed to kick off.”
