The SEC Women's Basketball Tournament has returned to Greenville. The city has proven to be a 2nd home court for the South Carolina women, they look to keep that going through this weekend.
The tournament opened this installment on Wednesday. Four games are on the slate for the first day of the tournament. Winners will take on teams who had a 1st round bye, on Thursday.
South Carolina is the defending Tournament Champions, they come in 27-3 on the season and went 15-1 in SEC play to win the Regular Season Conference Title. The Gamecocks will open play on Friday, as the top four teams get a double bye.
The Semifinals are set for Saturday at 430 and 7PM. The Finals will be Sunday at 3PM. South Carolina is looking for their 3rd straight SEC Tournament Title and their 5th in the last 6 seasons.
The SEC Tournament has been held at the Bon Secours Wellness Arena in Greenville every year since 2019, expect for 2022. The Gamecocks have won the tournament every time it's been in Greenville since 2019 when Mississippi State won it.
