"Wright-Stuff" Braves blank Phillies 3-0 in Game Two

The Atlanta Braves got a 3-0 win on Wednesday night to to even the series with Philadelphia at one game each. Atlanta's starting pitcher for game two, Kyle Wright was locked in and dealing. He threw 6 innings of shutout ball allowing just two hits, while striking out 6. Three Atlanta relievers would combine to work the final three innings. Kenley Jansen would sit the Phillies down 1,2,3 in the 9th to seal the win.

Pitching was on display for both teams, as Atlanta managed just four hits. They did manage to manufacture 3 runs on the night. All three of those runs came in the 6th and during a two out rally. Ronald Acuna Jr. got with a hit by pitch, Dansby Swanson the walked, Matt Olson singled to to right to drive in Acuna. Austin Riley had an infield single that scored Swanson. Travis d'Arnaud then singled to center to score Olson.


The best of five series now goes back to Philadelphia tied at one game each. Game three is set for a 4:37 PM 1st pitch, Friday afternoon.
