Cooking with Grandma George has moved into the savory section. She has some great "homey" meals and we're going to explore them all. This is a classic casserole that will be perfect after Thanksgiving when you have leftover turkey and don't want another sandwhich. Enjoy!
Ingredients
½ cup sliced celery
¼ cup chopped onion
2 tbsp margarine
1 can of cream of chicken soup
1 soup can of milk
1-2 cups diced cooked turkey
8 oz medium or wide egg noodles
¼ cup bread crumbs
Instructions
Cook celery and onion in butter until crisp and tender. Blend the soup and milk, and then add the turkey. Meanwhile, cook noodles. In a 2-quart casserole, combine the noodles and turkey mixture, then top with crumbs. Bake at 350 for 25-30 minutes.
