On Monday, the series revealed that it named its iconic stage after Trebek, who died after a battle with pancreatic cancer in November 2020 at the age of 80.

“Jeopardy!” unveiled The Alex Trebek Stage on a video shared to its social media accounts on Monday.

The clip featured the late host’s wife Jean, his son Matt, and his daughters Emily and Nicky, all standing beside the bronze plaque inscripted with the new stage name at Sony Pictures Studios in Culver City, California where the show is filmed.

The update was shared ahead of Monday night’s episode, the first of five which were previously filmed with recently ousted host and former executive producer, Mike Richards.
