Sitting in one of the most prominent buildings along our skyline, the World Trade Center Institute (WTCI) is a nonprofit doing amazing things for youth, international business affairs and women in (and out) of the workforce.
Today's 101.9's Liz Drabick spoke to two representatives of the World Trade Center Institute. She was joined by Zachary Sheaffer, Assistant Manager, Programs and Events and Jamal Washington, Manager, Professional Exchanges and GPS.
The World Trade Center Institute's mission is to empower globally-minded leaders with new ideas and valuable connections. They believe in the power of a connected community and being part of something bigger than themselves. They also believe that sharing knowledge and experiences makes a positive impact on Maryland and across the globe.
The World Trade Center Institute strives to drive the growth of Maryland’s flourishing global business community and more than 2,500 Maryland firms benefit from WTCI’s global connections, events, programs and services.
Their members range from local startups to many of the region’s top corporations, universities and government agencies. They’re part of more than 300 WTCI Network organizations in 130 countries, a World Bank PSLO network in 100 countries, and 20 years of State Department programs. Their network is the largest of its kind in the Mid-Atlantic.
