Four people have been arrested in connection to an investigation into copper wire thefts. The Pickens County Sheriff's Office says a rash of wire thefts has targeted AT&T overhead telephone lines.
The thefts have caused service disruptions and caused financial loss for the company. Four suspects identified as Randy Brooks, Corey Carlisle, Craig Nugent Jr. and Jerald Green have all been arrested.
Nugent and Green are charged with receiving stolen goods. Brooks and Carlisle are charged with injury to property. The Sheriff's Office says that more wire theft incidents have occurred and are under investigation.
