A suspect is facing charges after a wild ride on the mountainside. Police in Western North Carolina say a suspect led officers on a chase in a stolen vehicle over Memorial Day Weekend.
The Weaverville Police Department says, the suspect Marquis Earl Hurst fled from officers near the Walmart in Weaverville and the chase ended near a gas station is Asheville. The Buncombe County Sheriff's Office also got involved in the chase.
Hurst was stopped and taken into custody. He's charged with larceny of a vehicle, larceny of a firearm and a weapons violation.
