REVOLT’s Music Summit Brought Out Hundreds Of Creatives
With such an eventful weekend in Atlanta, Diddy’s REVOLT Music Summit was still one of the biggest and brought the star power to the city. Seen as one of the most impactful music events to come to Atlanta this summer, hundreds of creatives and others who traveled from cities close in proximity came out just to get that one shot of “making it” in the entertainment industry and being noticed by the Mogul himself. Upon arrival, you saw large murals and interactive art installations used as conversation pieces between people with different creative backgrounds binding together as one.
The Summit brought out a catalog of celebrities and creative professionals who’ve seemingly found their niche’ in entertainment and created a lucrative career out of it. The panels touched everyone whether you’re an aspiring producer, director, model, reporters, journalist, musician, and even music exec. They featured moderators and speakers such as Timbaland, Jidenna, Teyana Taylor, Jeezy, Jermaine Dupri, Remy Ma, Producer Sonny Digital, Mona Scott Young , Swizz Beatz, DJ Khaled, Andre Harrell and a loooong list of others with inspirational messages that left attendees nothing less than inspired and ready to demolish their career goals.
One of the most controversial and talked about panel was Hip Hop Politics moderated by Jeff Johnson that featured T.I, Killer Mike, Candace Owens, Katrina Pierson, activists Tamika Mallory and Steve Pargett which turned into a heated debate about Donald Trump’s infamous slogan “Make America Great Again”, voting, plus being “manipulated” by the Democratic party. The audience’s response (including myself) was appalled but also intrigued as we saw pro’s and con’s to all comments. Nevertheless, the summit was a great experience.
