V-103 and Entercom Atlanta Staff Volunteer at Urban Farm in College Park for Earth Day
V-103, along with Star 94, WAOK and 92.9 The Game, joined forces on Earth Day for a special volunteer effort, as the Entercom Atlanta radio stations spent the morning and afternoon cleaning, weeding, tilling, painting and planting fruits and vegetables at Urban Farm in College Park, Georgia. The farm is owned by Bobby Wilson, who is the proud father of Atlanta R&B star Bobby V.
Entercom, the parent company of V-103, had almost 50 Earth Day volunteer events nationwide, with over 3,000 volunteers across the company taking part in its 1Thing Sustainability Initiative. It is the largest coordinated Earth Day volunteer initiative ever conducted by the company.
“Entercom has a long-standing commitment to sustainability and helping the environment. Our 1Thing program has been a cornerstone of our work to be a socially responsible corporate citizen, making the world a better place,” said David Field, Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer, Entercom. “Today, more than 3,000 members of the Entercom team will be leaving the office and heading out to work on projects all across the country in every market we serve.”
Make sure you bring a little bit of Earth Day into every day and help take care of our beautiful planet!
