Chris Spencer tapped in with The Big Tigger Morning Show to promote his new film, Back On The Strip featuring a star-studded cast including Tiffany Haddish, Wesley Snipes, J.B. Smoove, Gary Owen, Spence Moore II, Raigan Harris and Faizon Love.
"My brother-in-law, Adam Rodriguez is in the original Magic Mike he plays the Puerto Rican guy and I kind of made a spoof, mock poster of what an urban version of this would look like. I showed my writing partner as a joke, he's like 'yo man we should write this.' We wrote it, we took it to these independent producers and they bought it. They bought it from the posters they didn't even read the script," he said.
He says this project came from "luck and magic," as the cast members did not hesitate to be apart of the cast.
Spencer believes that Tim Story's The Blackening opened up the door for more Black comedies to be seen in theatres.
