Yes…Jeep's new Wrangler 4XE is the first ever Jeep plug-in Hybrid…and it doesn't look like they cut any corners on this tough little guy.

Power? 375 HP. 470 ft. lbs. of torque. 0-60 in 6 seconds. And able to tow 3,500 lbs. Not much missing there, is there?

As for all the "Jeep Stuff" that you expect to get with this brand…it's there for ya'.

And more. But before we get to the "more", let me reassure you about the "Jeep Stuff", OK?

Heavy duty full-time 4WD…a 4.10 rear end…Tru-Lok front and rear axles…all there….along with your steel bumpers, removeable doors, rock-protective sill rails, tire-fill alerts, a full-sized spare, front and rear tow hooks, a 700 amp battery, a class II trailer-hitch…like I said, it's all there.

Plus you get a little luxury like heated leather seating, Alpine premium HD / Sirius audio, an 8.4" display, 4G LTE hot spot, and Apple and Android connectivity.

Now…for that "More" that I mentioned…how about a 21-mile all-electric range giving you an equivalent 49 miles per gallon and a $7,500 federal tax credit.

Oh…and while everyone else is installing rapid charging stations in tens of thousands of high-traffic locations across the country, Jeep…of course…is installing them at various recreational trail heads, too.

Your Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon 4XE will recharge its 21 mile all-electric range in 12 hours at home with a standard wall outlet, but you'll also get a level 2 public charging cord that'll give you a full charge in only two hours.

Pricing for the Rubicon 4XE starts in the low $50's. With a few options, our tester came in with a roughly 62K window sticker. And again, you get that tempting $7,500 tax credit…bringing your effective price down to the mid $50's for a fully-loaded go-almost-anywhere 375 HP, 0-60 in 6 seconds, 49 MPG Jeep.
