The Atlanta Falcons made the biggest splash of the free agency with their acquisition of Kirk Cousins earlier this week, but they didn't stop there. Since the league year started, they have made a flurry of moves and brought in a plethora of players to fill roster needs.
After the major moves that the Falcons have made, are they considered a "Super Bowl or bust" type of team? That's what John Fricke thinks, and he discussed that on The Steakhouse this morning.
"Why else would you make this move?" Fricke asked Sandra about the acquisition of Kirk Cousins. "[The Falcons] spent $125 million and was told by his former coach that he had a quarterback that could be a point guard, but you have all these young studs that are just coming into their own."
The Atlanta Falcons already had several offensive weapons on the roster with Bijan Robinson, Drake London, and Kyle Pitts but they also went out and added some serious speed -- Darnell Mooney and his 4.38 speed joined the roster on a three-year, $39 million deal and Rondale Moore and his 4.32 speed was acquired in a trade with the Arizona Cardinals.
"What's the point of doing all of this?" Fricke continued. "Well it's to win a lot of games and to win the NFC South and to get into the playoffs."
After that, anything can happen.
