As the Atlanta Braves and Braves fans continue to honor and thank Brian Snitker for what he did during his time as Atlanta’s manager the question now becomes who will be the next skipper for the Braves, and what does Atlanta want in their next manager? Earlier today 92.9 The Game’s Braves insider and reporter Grant McAuley joined The Morning Shift, and gave his take on what he thinks the Braves want in their next manager.
“You look at how much change over happens, multiple managers inside seasons for teams, multiple years and consecutive years of firing or releasing or dismissing managers and just not really being able to find that continuity, so that I think is at the focal point of what the Braves search is about is how can they create the continuity and maintain the culture that they’ve created that Brian Snitker was a big part of.” Grant said
Early names that have been circulating as possible candidates to be the Braves’ next manager are Walt Weiss, Bruce Bochy, Mark DeRosa, David Ross, and Tony Vitello, but there are definitely more names, and there doesn’t seem to be a frontrunner as of now as the Braves’ search for their next manager is still in its infancy.
