Do Braves have Luke Jackson in the right bullpen role?

The Atlanta Braves bullpen got beat up, yet again, in a 10-8 loss to the Boston Red Sox on Tuesday night.

With the game tied up at 7, reliever Chris Martin entered the game in the eighth inning and gave up a three-run home run, putting the Sox back in the lead.

The Braves bullpen has been frustrating to say the least with the exception of Luke Jackson. He's allowed only six hits, zero earned runs, three walks and 12 strikeouts in 11 1/3 innings pitched.

Should Jackson have more responsibility in the bullpen because he's the best guy they've got out there right now?

"His responsibility's already pretty high, I think," 92.9 The Game reporter Joe Patrick told Andy and Randy. "I think that Brian Snitker trusts him in, yeah I'm going to say it, high-leverage situations. High-leverage Luke Jackson here.

"He's not closing right now--he's not pitching in the ninth-inning--but I do think that Brian Snitker likes his ability to come in and get out of jams and just be really efficient with his pitches. You've got to tip your hat to him."

You've got Jackson, who's got a sub-.200 ERA and arguably the Braves best reliever, whom a lot of people questioned coming into the season whether he should or would make the roster. Meanwhile, you've got guys like A.J. Minter and Tyler Matzek who were dominant last year, who've just come in this year and not been the same guys.

"What a crazy season it's been. I feel like Luke Jackson's performance is almost so illustrative of just how crazy it's been.
