The Introductory press conference of Atlanta Falcons new General Manager Ian Cunningham is today, and he’ll likely be asked about what his draft strategy is, how he plans to manage the Falcons salary cap space, potentially re-signing or franchise tagging tight end Kyle Pitts, and re-signing running back Tyler Allgeier. However, earlier today The Morning Shift talked about what the Falcons new GM needs to do first before anything else.

“In my opinion you’re starting with Kaden Ellis and David Onyemata, and maybe even looking at tape on Arnold Ebiketie. I think that’s kind of where I’m starting. I’m starting in the front seven. There will be questions about extending Drake [London], Kyle Pitts, Tyler Allgeier, but to me I'm starting at the defensive front seven if I’m Ian Cunningham.” Mike Johnson said

In his introductory press conference Falcons Head Coach Kevin Stefanski said first and foremost they want to be a team that stops the run, and while they have some very young and talented defensive lineman that are under contract the Falcons have important veteran players like David Onyemata, Arnold Ebiketie, Leonard Floyd, and Kentavius Street that were integral parts to the Falcons top 15 total defense this past season that Cunningham and the rest of the Falcons Front Office will need to make a decision on whether to re-sign or replace sooner rather than later.
