Atlanta Braves pitchers and catcher have reported to North Port, Florida for the start of spring training and the club has reported pitcher, Spencer Schwellenbach will be head to the 60-day injured list due to right elbow inflammation.

“What’s our luck with this?” 92-9 The Game’s Carl Dukes asked as he and cohost, Mike Bell reacted to the Schwellenbach news, highlighting the injuries the Braves’ starting pitchers dealt with last season which contributed to the team’s struggles including missing the MLB playoffs for the first time since the 2017 season.

“I say this all the time to Carl and to the audience and I argue with Braves’ fans every year, you don’t listen, we need more pitching,” Bell said as he explained why he has been of the belief the Braves should have sought out starting pitchers to add to their rotation the past couple of seasons.

“You can’t win another World Series bringing in retreads and guys that have health issues. You have to get some frontline starting pitching,” Bell continued as he explained why he believes the Braves may have to be willing to spend “big money” to bring in better pitching to strengthen their starting rotation.
